After the Fiji Airways Fijians 7s team’s historic five years in-a-row win in Hong Kong last Sunday, fans converged at the Kerry Hotel in Kowloon to celebrate with a bowl of kava.
What made it special were the presence of the Mourant Fiji Army side that played in the GFI Hong Kong 10s along with Joe Ravouvou who played for New Zealand and Japan’s Kameli Soejima and Lote Tuqiri.
Also present were former Fijian 7s legendary forward and Sevens Rugby World Cup winner Jope Tukabe, former Flying Fijians first five eight Major Elia Rokowailoa and United Nations security personnel Tikiko Seruwalu.
At the end of the kava session, they’ve all promised to return next year and support Fiji’s bid to win it for the 6th year in-a-row.
