Fuel Prices To Decrease From Monday

Consumers will certainly be glad to hear the drop of fuel prices over the next quarter from 15 April to 14 July, 2019.

Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission chief executive officer Joel Abraham said the prices are determined by the movement in the international prices for Petroleum and LPG products since the last quarter.

Here’s what to expect:

Motor Spirit will decrease by 9 cents to cost $2.00

Diesel prices will decrease by 7 cents a litre to retail at $1.82.

Premix will retail at $1.84 cents a litre – a decrease of 8 cents.

The price of Kerosene will decrease by 9 cents to cost $1.54 a litre.

4.5 kg cylinder of Liquid Petroleum Gas will decrease by 92 cents, selling at $12.89

12 kg cylinder will cost $34.37, a decrease of $2.47 cents.

Autogas decreases by 12 cents to cost $1.62 and bulk decreases by 18 cents retailing at $2.41 per kg.

The 13kg cylinder will retail at $37.23 – a decrease of $2.68.

The prices of unleaded petrol, premix, kerosene, diesel and LPG products have been reviewed and the new prices have been determined by the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission.

Mr Abraham says in this quarter, oil prices remain supported by efforts by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and non-affiliated allies like Russia to reduce output as well as dropping Venezuelan output.
