Fiji Pearls, Singapore Test

The Fijian Pearls will play three tests against Singapore on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
The Vicki Wilson-coached team departed on Sunday in preparation for the Netball World Cup in England on July 12-21.
“The national team will play three test matches against Singapore this week. The girls then fly to Darwin for the Arafura Games the following week,”Wilson said.
“We thank the Fiji National Sports Commission, Fijian government, Australian government and Netball Australia for their financial support for the team.”
The Fijians will also meet the Silver Ferns as part of their preparation.
Netball New Zealand chief executive officer Jennie Wyllie said they were pleased to secure quality opposition ahead of the Netball World Cup in July. They excited to host Fiji again this year.
The upcoming International Netball Series will be a world’s first when the Silver Ferns play games against the New Zealand Invitation Men’s, Fijian Pearls and an All Stars side at Pulman Arena in Papakura from June 26-29.
“We are thrilled to create a world’s first with the Silver Ferns playing the NZ men Invitation team. Wyllie said.
“We’re excited to have Fiji back as they will offer a different style and it also gives them the opportunity for some tough matches as they too look ahead to the Netball World Cup.”
