40-year-old Allegedly Exported Cocaine

The State requested the High Court in Lautoka yesterday for time to file information and disclosures in a drug case allegedly involving a former flight attendant of Fiji Airways.
Fredrick Epeli, 40, is charged for his alleged involvement in a case involving a little more than two kilograms of cocaine.
He is charged with one count of unlawful importation and exportation and one count of unlawful possession, manufacture, cultivation and supply of illicit drugs.
It is alleged that the accused was involved in the transportation of illicit substances onboard our national carrier.
The alleged incident took place on December 23, 2018 with another suspect where they without lawful authority facilitated in exporting little more than two kilograms of cocaine and illicit drugs.
Epeli was further remanded to appear in court on May 7.
