Kalione Nasoko Back For 7s

Fiji Airways Fijian 7s captain Kalione Nasoko could force his way back into the team to play in the crucial London and Paris 7s tournaments.
The Gareth Baber- coached side are three points behind 2018/19 HSBC World Sevens Series leaders USA. A good outing in the final leg in Europe could see the Fijians win the Series for the fourth time.
Nasoko, who had missed the Asian leg (Hong Kong and Singapore 7s) due to a hamstring injury was among the players at the United Kingdom (UK) Visa Centre at Tappoo City in Suva to lodge their applications yesterday.
This was confirmed to SUNsports by Fiji Rugby Union chief executive officer John O’Connor indicat
ing that Nasoko, Mesulame Kunavula and Waisea Nacuqu have been training with members of the extended training squad based in the West, this week.
“They had a combine training session today,” he said.
“They are now working on the administration side of things like applying for their visas to the UK and France.”
Other prominent players that also lodged their visa applications were stand-in captain Paula Dranisinukula, Josua Vakurinabili, Sevuloni Mocencagi, Jerry Tuwai, Ala- sio Naduva, Vilimoni Botitu, Meli Derenalagi, Livai Ikanikoda, Terio Tamani, Asaeli Tuivoka and Aminiasi Tuimaba.
Tuwai was injured during the Singapore 7s along with rookie forward Isoa Tabu who is out with a fractured wrist.
The London 7s is on May 25-26 and the Fijians are in Pool B with Samoa, France and Kenya.
The France 7s will be from June 1-2.
