Labasa football coach Anand Sami has been working on preparing his players for next weekend’s Vodafone Fiji FACT tournament to be played at Churchill Park, Lautoka.

This was confirmed on Thursday by Labasa football manager Nilesh Lal who indicated that the team would continue on from where they had left off at the Vodafone Premier League.

“Currently, we don’t have any problem but the challenge for the players is to attend every training session,” he said.

Lal said they are in a tough Group A where they take on hosts Lautoka who are top favourites, Suva and giantkillers Tavua.

Our first match is against Suva on Friday, May 3.

“Our aim is to bring back lost glory since we last experienced such victorious moment in 2015.

“For the players to perform we expect them to play according to the game plan.

We won’t be releasing the names of the players or who will play in which position as we are still trying to get our combination right.”

Lal however, has assured Labasa fans that they should expect a good performance from the team.
