Wellington Phoenix FC striker and Vodafone Fijian football captain Roy Krishna has won the inaugural ABC A- League Player of the Year, as judged by experts across the season.
With the final round of the season still to play, Krishna cannot be overtaken for the award with 25 votes, after Isaías missed out on votes last night in Adelaide United’s win to finish the sea- son on 23 votes.
“It’s special for me, but the business isn’t over yet,” Krishna told AAP.
“All these medals will only be cherished if we meet our targets of our goal, which is to win the competition.”
