Overnight increase

With the recent heavy rain, flooding, landslides and the ever-increasing number of potholes on our roads, most of our motorists were in for a shock.

Going to buy tyres and other related spare parts they found the prices have risen as high as by 5 per cent. This was an overnight increase… interesting…
Knockout

Again two of our boxers were knocked out in Australia on Friday night. Questions are raised on who from the Boxing Commission is releasing these boxers who are now used as stepping stones for Australian boxers. C’mon we need to hear from Commission head Bulutani!

May 5 Protest

Should we be expecting a shortage of teachers in the next school term?

Some of these teachers despite termination warnings from the Ministry, they still want to be part of the planned May 5 protest.

Some of which are new recruits and some who are left with only five years to retire.
Jobless union members

It is shameful to note that while Felix Anthony is planing to have a big strike in the West, he failed to help some employees of an organisation whom he represented in the Union who will soon be jobless after May 22.

The package which they will be receiving is less compared to what they have sweated for.
Travel, travel

A certain woman of the media is well known for her frequent international travels.

But her latest travels seem to be the best of all.

That is if you enjoy the travelling life.

She is said to have gone to France for some media event organised by the French, returned home, then quickly headed off to Germany for another invited media event.
Training Times

While we’re still on the media, impressive list of participants have been named for a workshop in Suva next month.

Impressive because participants from Solomon Islands, Tonga and New Zealand are some of most highly-trained and regional travelled media practitioners in the region.
