The President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote received the presentation of credentials by the newly appointed High Commissioner of India to Fiji Her Excellency, Padmaja yesterday.

Ms Padmaja, who was accompanied by her husband Manoj Pande, had previously been the Deputy Director General for the Indian Council of Cultural relations since 2018 in New Delhi, India.

Prior to this, Padmaja had been the Joint Secretary (CPV Division) for the Ministry of External affairs  from 2017-2018 in New Delhi, India.

She also held a few other diplomatic positions in India as well as England. She holds a Master of Arts and a degree in Ancient History.
