Motorcyclist Is Latest Road Death
A father of two, who had just bought a motorcycle two days ago, has died in an accident after the motorcycle he was travelling on allegedly collided with a four-wheel drive.
The incident happened in Nabou, Nadroga, yesterday afternoon.
A close friend, Jay Kumar, said that Firoz Khan was visiting friends in Sigatoka.
“It was so sad to hear about Feroz and I heard from my friends that he was returning from Sigatoka when he was involved in that accident,” he said.
“Feroz was a family man and was well-liked by everybody. He loved riding motorbikes and he just bought his motor bike two days ago.”
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the deceased allegedly drove onto the opposite lane resulting in the accident.
