Three former employees of Post Fiji facing theft charges have appeared at the Magistrates Court in Suva.

Senimili Marama, Daniel Julian and Apisai Vinisasaro appeared before Magistrate Jioji Boseiwaqa.

Marama is charged with three counts of theft while Julian and Vinisasaro are charged with one count of theft each.

It is alleged that between November 2009 and March 2011, the three accused persons dishonestly appropriated $50,000 from Post Fiji.

Magistrate Boseiwaqa ordered Marama and Vinisasaro to seek legal counsel representation while Julian was represented by lawyer Tanya Waqanika.

Police prosecutor Constable Elenani Naivolatabu did not object to bail.

However, she sought two suitable sureties for each accused, strict bail conditions, to surrender travel documents and reporting instructions.

Magistrate Boseiwaqa granted bail to all three accused persons on a bail bond $300 for each surety for all three accused persons.

They were ordered not to interfere with any of the prosecution witnesses, reside at a fixed address and surrender all travel documents and passport to the court and not to reoffend while on bail.

Marama was ordered to report to the Valelevu Police Station on every first Saturday of every month between 6am and 6pm.

Julian was ordered to report to the Nabua Police Station on every first Saturday of every month between 6am and 6pm.

Vinisasaro was ordered to report to the Nasinu Police Station on every first Saturday of every month between 6am and 6pm.

The matter was adjourned to June 6.
