And moves are underway to get the former Wallaby powerhouse into the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians fold.

Standing at 6’ 5” and weighing over 19 stone, the Yasawa native’s devastating form has impressed Fiji Airways Flying Fijians head coach John McKee.

“Taqele is in fine form at Franklin Gardens and having played for Australia, he needs to be eligible to play for Fiji,” McKee said.

“And for this we need him to play for Fiji at the World Sevens Series next stop in London on May 25-26.

“But the decision will be entirely on Fiji Airways Fijian 7s coach Gareth Baber, he makes the call.”

Baber’s squad members for the London–Paris leg will be back training today at Albert Park.

Fijians must win the two-day event at Twickenham going into the last tournament in Paris a week later.

USA leads the World Sevens Series on 145 points with Fiji on 142.

Already selection will be tough for Baber with the return of senior players Kalione Nasoko, Mesulame Kunavula and Waisea Nacuqu.

But whether they will regain their spots in the team will depend on their form at training in the coming weeks.

In their absence, Paula Dranisinukula has led the team well winning in Hong Kong and being runners up in Singapore.

Naiyaravoro was dropped from the final 31-member Wallabies squad for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

He played for the Pro 14 clubs Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh before joining Gallagher Premiership Rugby with Northampton Saints last year.
