Vodafone Vanua Championship: Macuata Eye Second Win at Home

The Macuata rugby have put aside their 28-27 loss to Nasinu and now turn their focus on Serua as they prepare for Saturday’s showdown at the All Saints Secondary School ground in Vulovi, Labasa.
The hosts are eyeing to register their second win in the Vodafone Vanua Championship.
Speaking to SUNsports yesterday Macuata Rugby Union president Usaia Turaganivalu said this is the first of their four home games and they would try to make the most of it.
Macuata coach Digitaki Levaci said they would focus their preparation on key areas like fitness and the game plan to implement.
“In our pool only Macuata and Ovalau have reached the Skipper Cup and we know the type and level of rugby required but we will not underestimate any team,” he said.
Levaci said their loss to Nasinu was due to poor decisions made on the field and they would work on it.
Serua head coach Ilimo Vudiniabola said they are definitely going to Labasa to play Macuata after they held Bua 18-18 at Solevu last Saturday.
““There are some difficulties since most of our players are working in companies and hotels in the area. We need to get their release to travel.“We’re working on our weak areas that we have identified from our game with Bua. against Macuata.”
