The Fijian community in London is ready gearing up to back our team in the second last tournament of the 2018-19 World Sevens Series at Twickenham next weekend.

Led by the Voqa Mai Europe, a group comprised Fijians in the British Army, the group made t-shirts which had players pictures printed on it.

The group posted on their Facebook page: “Our family designed “London Sevens” T-shirt done…print with our own favourite players

“Team Nacuqu, Team Naduva, Team Tuimaba, Team Ikanikoda, Team Mocenacagi and so forth.

“This is designed with a strong and positive Faith that God is leading them to Gold.”

The group calls on fans to place their order and purchase the t-shirts to avoid disappointment.

“We are making only 50 t-shirts this year and orders already rolling in.

Don’t wait for the last minute.”

Fiji Airways Fijian 7s captain Paula Dranisinukula said the team will rise to the occasion next weekend.

“We are ready, the boys can’t wait to go out there and take on the challenge. We will have to do it for Fiji,” he said.

The Voqa Mai Europe was started in a small town in Schlangen, Germany before the group moved to London, England last year.

The group promotes Fijian language, culture and traditions around the world.

They also provide entertainment through radio broadcasts to Fijians in the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, former Flying Fijian lock Sekonaia Kalou is leading a committee from the Fijian community in London to raise funds for the team.

They are backed by the Fiji High Commissioner to the UK Jitoko Tikolevu.
