RKS drama

Alarm bells should be ringing in Lodoni as a team from the Fiji Sun found that some students were not aware what the name of the school principal was.

The group asked three different students apparently from the junior forms. One student knew his first name while two others had no clue as to the name of the head of the school was.

It is common for students not to pay attention during school assemblies as it might not be the most exciting of events, but it is indeed quite bizarre that the head honcho remains a nameless figure for some at the school.

Jale party hope

With vice-president Anare Jale at the helm of SODELPA leadership as acting president to replace outgoing president Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, there is hope from within the party that the party will live true to its slogan as the leadership that listens.

He is considered as a diplomat and a governance guru who can steer the SODELPA ship away from the turbulent waters.

His close associates have said that he is the right man to lead the internal clean-up campaign before the 2022 General Election.

Many party members have placed their confidence in him that he will ensure that a board of inquiry into grievances brought up by Youth President Jope Koroisavou and former MP Mere Samisoni will be properly investigated and dealt with.

Mr Jale’s first big test would be at the party’s annual General Assembly at Savusavu next month. This is the venue that many members rejected.
