Namosi Clan Offers Land For New School

A chiefly clan of Namosi Province has given 100 acres of its land for the establishment of a new secondary school.
Namosi chief Ratu Suliano Matanitobua says the clan is from the chiefly village of Veivatuloa.
Namosi Provincial Council chairperson Samisoni Tuilawaki thanked the chiefly clan for its kind gesture. He said the council wanted to lease 50 acres for the new school.
“We have gone back to tell them we just wanted 50 acres to lease for the new school,” he said.
The new school he said would be built beside Lobau Village.
Mr Tuilawaki said the construction of the new school would begin in November.
Representatives from the United Arab Emirates Red Crescent, which will be responsible for the construction have already visited the site and are happy that a water source is available.
