Hotel Workers Have The Best Minimum Wage, $4, Says Fiji Hotels and Allied Industries Employees Union Secretary

Hotel workers are the best when comparing the minimum wage rate with other industries starting from $4 or more an hour.
This statement was highlighted by the Fiji Hotels and Allied Industries Employees Union general secretary, Peni Bulusui, during discussions on the National Minimum Wages and Wage Regulations in Fiji at the Sigatoka Town Council yesterday.
“I think the hotel workers are the best when you compare minimum wages because we are sitting on $4 plus an hour,” Mr Bulusui said.
He said a current concerned issue was the cost of living adjustments.
“It will be a solution that will be very hard to diagnose at this point in time, but nevertheless we are in the process of consultation. We hope to find the light at the end of the tunnel.
