Fiji Police: Crystal Like Substance Found In Raids Across Fiji

Two men aged 44 and 22 years were arrested following a raid at a home in Delaitomuka by the Western Division Taskforce team where sachets of dried leaves, dried leaves in a container and seeds all believed to be marijuana were discovered. Also seized were 16 sachets of white crystal powder believed to be methamphetamine.

Two farmers will be produced at the Savusavu Magistrates Court following a raid at a home in Naqere, Savusavu on Tuesday morning.
 
Officers found more than 10 clear plastic containing crystal like substance, believed to be methamphetamine, a container containing bullets of dried leaves, dried leaves found inside a receipt book and seeds all believed to be marijuana and smoking apparatuses.
The two have been charged with one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs each.

South Drug raids
 
A 55-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman are in custody following a raid conducted at their Narere home yesterday afternoon, where smoking apparatus and nine small clear plastic bags all containing white substance believed to methamphetamine and assorted electronic goods were seized. 
 
In a separate raid also in Narere yesterday a 38-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman were taken into custody following the discovery of more than $1,000 cash, smoking apparatus and seeds believed to be marijuana.
 
At the Wainadoi Police Post a joint operation between Police and Fiji Customs led to the discovery of a white crystals believed to be methamphetamine wrapped in a plastic inside a car driven by a 59-year-old man from Nayawa in Sigatoka.
 
The suspect is in custody at the Navua Police Station.
 
The same joint team conducted another search inside a taxi driven by a 35 year old farmer of Lawaqa, Sigatoka and found a small plastic of crystals also believed to be methamphetamine. 
 
Drugs have been sent for analysis.

Western Division
 
A 44-year-old man is in custody at the Nadi Police Station following a raid at his Korovuto home where bullets of dried leaves believe to be marijuana was seized on Tuesday morning.
 
Also on Tuesday morning, two men aged 44 and 22 years were arrested following a raid at a home in Delaitomuka by the Western Division Taskforce team where sachets of dried leaves, dried leaves in a container and seeds all believed to be marijuana were discovered. Also seized were 16 sachets of white crystal powder believed to be methamphetamine.
 
Both suspects remain in custody.
 
Meanwhile in Ba, a police officer who was on beat patrol through the Ba Market arrested a 40 year old farmer of Moto, Ba after he was allegedly found with  2 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
 
Eastern Division
 
On Tuesday afternoon an officer while on patrol searched a 35year old man from Wainibokasi and allegedly found 12 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana in his possession.
 
The suspect remains in custody.
