Changes Needed For Fijiana 7s

The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team need urgent revamp if it is to stay competitive on the 2019-20 Women Sevens Series.
It has been highlighted so many times and it’s time for those in charge to seriously take stock to avoid further embarrassment.
The nosediving performance continues to be a recurring problem and its time a concerted effort is put in place to revive the sport.
Something is definitely amiss as plans and objectives set backfired now and again.
Yesterday, the Saisi Fuli –coached side won their third Challenge Trophy in a row with their 27-10 win over England in the final.
The side was on the brink of losing it core status in 2020 after losing all their pool games, for the third tournament in a row, in Biarritz on Sunday.
To avoid relegation, the side managed to beat invitational side Scotland 31-10 in the semifinal.
We have the manpower and coaching staff to beat the world but lacked the chemistry, instinct and fire in the belly to last.
Many of the players in the squad have been representing Fiji since the 2016 Rio Olympics and have the edge in experience and depth.
But it’s time the Fijiana setup be totally reviewed and appropriate changes made.
The writing is on the wall and the alarm bells are ringing.
Fijiana needs a shake for the better and not simply making up the numbers again in 2020.
