Semiti Qalowasa, who is charged by Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) with one count of failing to furnish information, appeared yesterday before Magistrate Deepika Prakash.

Qalowasa, as national director of PCN having its registered office at Lot 36 Koroi Place, Samabula, Suva, in the Central Division, between January 17, 2019, and January 23, 2019, failed to furnish full information, records and copies which were issued by way of Requisition for Information Notice No. FCCC-R101475.

Qalowasa, had pleaded guilty to the charge and a notice of motion was filed by the defence to vacate Qalowasa’s guilty plea. FCCC’s lawyer had not objected to the motion.

Magistrate Prakash vacated Qalowasa’s guilty plea and adjourned the matter for a fresh plea to be taken on July 16.

Bail for Qalowasa was further extended.
