A woman in her 70s is admitted under observation at the Vunidawa Hospital while 15 others are admitted at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital after the bus they were traveling in was involved in an accident.
The incident occurred yesterday morning along the Sawani Serea Road, Naitasiri.
The bus was conveying 60 passengers when the 50 year old driver allegedly lost control, causing the bus to tumble before landing on the side of the road.
26 passengers received minor injuries while 14 passengers were treated at the Vunidawa Hospital and sent home.
The driver remains in custody at the Vunidawa Police Station.
