Between the Lines

It is a bit disturbing because not only women, but children use the nice footpath and scenic views in the morning and afternoon for either a walk or a run. Something needs to be done now. Let it not become like the stray dog issue when reactions start coming after a dog has attacked someone.

Perverted

Perhaps the Police could have a few of their fine officers patrol the Nasese seawall along Queen Elizabeth Drive. A few women on a run in the afternoon have been greeted by a fellow who was apparently pleasuring himself under a bridge.

It is a bit disturbing because not only women, but children use the nice footpath and scenic views in the morning and afternoon for either a walk or a run. Something needs to be done now. Let it not become like the stray dog issue when reactions start coming after a dog has attacked someone.

Shoplifting or Shopping lifting

A woman shopping with her son was bemused when another woman tried to make off with the shopping she had done for the family.

The woman had done her shopping and told her 11-year-old son to stand with the plastic bags as she went to buy vegetables from the nearby vendors.

In her absence, a woman approached the young man and tried to convince him that his mother had asked her to look for a transport to load the shopping and the vehicle was waiting.

The young boy would not be convinced and the mother returned in time to catch the end bit of the conversation between the woman and her son.

Let’s just say the woman will think twice after the mother told her that she had a good mind to break the coconuts she was carrying on someone’s head. Let’s not get violent but be smart; there will always be people trying to take advantage of others.

Alien communication device? Definitely not

A signal booster placed at the corner of a busy street in Suva by a mobile service provider has been gathering some interest. The booster was placed to increase signal strength as there were fluctuations caused when games were held in Laucala Bay.

To satisfy the curiosity of many, this is not an alien communication device. It has been also clearly marked that no one should be climbing the pole.
