19-Year-Old Woman Dead After Stabbing Incident Over A Facebook Message
A 19-year-old woman died after she was allegedly assaulted by her 21-year-old partner on Friday night.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro has confirmed that the victim was Salanieta Leba.
The incident occurred in Colo-i-Suva.
The suspect allegedly punched and stabbed the victim during a heated argument over a Facebook message that was sent to a relative of the victim.
She was rushed to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
The post mortem examination is expected to be conducted today.
The suspect is in custody at the Valelevu Police Station as investigations continue
