Fiji Swimming won 5 medals in their first day of swimming competition.

Nineteen year old Taichi Vakasama with Fiji Swimming’s first individual gold medal in the men’s division since the 2003 Pacific Games in Fiji.

Moana Wind won silver in the 200m breaststroke.

Rosemary Rova managed a bronze in the 800m freestyle.

Fiji won silver in the women’s 4x 100 medley relay while the men won bronze.
