The Farebrother Sullivan Trophy between holders Nadroga and Suva will be held on July 20, says Fiji Rugby Union chief executive officer John O’Connor.

Speaking during a press conference at Rugby House, Suva yesterday, O’Connor confirmed that this weekend’s Farebrother and Bainimarama Shield challenges have been postponed.

“This is due to the fans request as they want to watch the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians Test clash against the Maori All Blacks at the ANZ Stadium, Suva this Saturday,” O’Connor said.

He highlighted that the Farebrother Trophy challenge between Nadroga and Suva will be played at Prince Charles Park, Nadi on July 20 while the Bainimarama Shield clash will be played on Friday, July 19, at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

“The FRU board has finally decided on these dates. We would like to encourage all fans of the Flying Fijians to come out in numbers and support the team as they take on the Maori All Blacks on Saturday.”

The match kicks-off at 3pm.
