The Fijian Government will soon introduce a national ID card system.

The Attorney-General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum told of  this during the launch of  the bizFIJI portal yesterday in Suva.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said to ensure that all processes are in place, a national ID card system would be rolled out soon.

“You just have to remember one number and that will fit it into your tax number, your driving licence number, FNPF (Fiji National Provident Fund) number and any other types of numbers that you do have, but you just have to remember one particular number.

He said it would also assist with the ease of doing business a lot better, and also ensure that we as a country have the right securities in place. Edited by Ranoba Baoa
