Time Out For Strays
Stray Dogs have found a new site to chill-out.
BTL was surprised to see stray dogs grouped at the Government Building compound and enjoying the beautiful weather yesterday.
Fuel Price Increase
Before the announcement of the increase in fuel prices on July 13, 2019, a service station in Lautoka was providing normal service to customers on a daily basis.
On July 14, 2019 this particular service station informed its customers with a notice pasted on one of the fuel machines that the machines were out of order. BTL was surprised to see on July 15, 2019 when the new fuel prices were in place, that the fuel machines were running again.
Were the fuel pump machines really out of order or were they saving fuel for when the new fuel prices came into effect?
Fijian Protocol
Two Information Technology staff of UNiFiji were criticised for unwarranted interruption as chief guest, Ro Teimumu Kepa addressed an International Conference yesterday.
This includes an overseas delegation, but it was an iTaukei gentleman who stood up among the crowd to remind the organisers of following Fijian protocol.
Tramline Patrol
Relevant authorities should patrol along the tramlines in Labasa because some people have a habit of using the spot for drinking alcohol and homebrew late at night.
This happens especially during a civil servants pay week and weekends.
There have been cases of people sleeping along tramlines drunk and some found breaking into shops.
Whatever has happened to good old civic pride and being a responsible citizen. People must take precautions because the Labasa sugar mill is in operation and locomotives are running along these tramlines.
