The South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPX) is inviting all school students from Year 5 up to Year 13 to submit their entries for the 2019 SPX National Poster Competition.

The deadline for submission is fast approaching.

SPX Business Development Manager & Company Secretary Pretesh Prasad said: “This is a free of charge competition with its main objective to assist and inspire school students to rise to the financial skills challenge and build their confidence and knowledge about savings and investment options available through the stock market from an early age.

“The 2019 National Poster Competition is open to school students in Years 5 to 13 and is divided into three categories with each category having its own theme as well as suggestions for use by the students.”

Details regarding the various categories are provided as per the Table 1 above.

The 2019 National Poster Competition was officially launched by the Minister for Education Rosy Akbar at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) High School in June.

Participating students are required to formulate a Poster as per the theme from their relevant category and submit the same to the SPX on or before the due date of Wednesday, 31st July 2019.

There will be three prize recipients under each category (Winner/1st Runner Up/ 2nd Runner Up.

The overall winner from each category will have a further advantage and will be given an opportunity to attend and receive their credentials at the 2019 SPX Annual Awards Event that will be held later this year.

About the major prizes

The major prize for the overall Winner for each category is a return air ticket to Auckland, New Zealand.

While other allocated prizes include; recognition plaques, gift and shopping vouchers, phones and tablets, laptops and printer, school merchandise, entertainment passes, gift hampers and SPX transaction vouchers.
