Tough Games In Deans Quarter-Finals

All the Ratu Kadavulevu School rugby teams have made it to Saturday’s Vodafone Deans Trophy national quarterfinals at the ANZ Stadium, Suva.
The Eastern Zone giants are playing from the Under-14 to the U19 grades.
In the U18 grade, the quarterfinals will see RKS take on an unknown Latter Day Saints College side.
LDS qualified as the third best team in the Southern Zone.
LDS team spokesperson Ernest Vitinavulagi said they were the underdogs and it was a good place to be at. He said reaching the quarters was a dream come true for the school.
“The team, the school and the Tamavua community are buzzing with excitement,” Vitinavulagi said.
LDS hoisted the Deans Trophy in 1986 when they beat RKS 8-3 in the final. Another interesting clash when last year’s final lists Cuvu College face Nasinu Secondary School while Natabua High School take on Southern Zone champions Marist Brothers High School.
The quarterfinals will kick-off from 8.20am with the main match between RKS and LDS set for 4.30pm.
