Barring any injuries star Fiji Airways Flying Fijians centre Semi Radradra is going to be in the 23-member squad for the Pacific Nations Cup clash against Canada at Suva’s ANZ Stadium on Saturday.

Flying Fijians head coach John McKee revealed this on arrival yesterday  at Nadi International Airport.

“There are couple of niggling injuries but nothing major,” he said.

“For Semi we’ll have to check with the medical staff. But from all accounts Semi is on track for selection this week.”

McKee said he would do the same with Vereniki Goneva, Nikola Matawalu, Eroni Sau and Setareki Tuicuvu.

“If they are medically cleared than I’m going to include them for selection.”

He also highlighted his disappointment over the 21-34 loss to Japan last Saturday.

“We went to Japan hopeful of a very good performance. It wasn’t to be. Japan are a very good team. They were very clinical in the execution of their plays,” McKee said.

“Our players were probably just off the pace that was needed. But in test match rugby if you are two or three per cent off, what is required it’s going to be a tough afternoon. We will bounce back from that.”

McKee said they were getting the team combination and game plan sorted out. So, we’ll take some learnings and put them in place during training this week.”
