The Gary Gold-coached USA Eagles expect to continue their winning run against Samoa in the second round of the 2019 World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup this Saturday.

The side arrived into the country fresh from their 47-19 dominance over Canada in Colorado over the weekend.

USA ranked 15th in the world has included national 7s reps Madison Hughes, Ben Pinkelman and Martin Iosefo.

“We played against Canada and good to have that game under our belt. It will be very difficult against Samoa and Japan. We are looking to he match,” Gold said.

“It has pretty good, we are in a difficult pool in the RWC and we have been in camp for five weeks in Colarado.”

According Gold, the team comprised young players with a few seniors. It is quite balanced group but not with a lot of experience.

Few players who are not in the side include Paul Lasike (concussion) and Nick Civetta (broken ankle) on the weekend.
