Give us any venue and we will play there, says jubilant Labasa football coach Ronil Lal.

Lal made the remarks after their 2-0 win over a gutsy Tavua side to book their semi-final spot in Saturday’s INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament.

He said they are prepared to play in any venue selected by the Fiji Football Association.

“We need to make use of all the opportunities that come our way, Lal said.

“We are ready to play in any venue for our semis but we need to regroup and come back well prepared.”

Labasa’s goals came from the boots of striker Ravinesh Karan Singh and classy Dennis Ifunaoa in the first half which was enough for the Babasiga Lions to march through with the win.

Lal said they could have scored more goals but their finishing let them down.

“We scored only two but we could have scored at least five goals in this match.

“Our strikers need to be sharper in front of the goal when it comes to the knockout stages.”

He said with the semi-final berth now confirmed they’ll work now work on their weaknesses from the pool matches.

Labasa had the services of goalkeeper Akuila Mateisuva Iliesa Lino, Siotame Kubu, Napolioni Qasevakatini, Ilisoni Lolaivalu, Ashnil Raju, Ilisoni Logaivau, and Taniela Waqa. The Lions earned seven points to qualify.
