A former employee of the Fiji National Provident Fund will be produced in court for allegedly forging several legal documents that enabled him and six others to obtain more than $49,000 between the months of March and April this year.

The 41-year-old accused is alleged to have knowingly used forged Certificate of Title documents provided by the 2nd accused who is a 32-year-old iTLTB staff and colluded with the 3rd accused a 45-year-old travel agent to write the title under his name.

The 2nd accused is charged with one count of forgery while the third accused is charged with one count of obtaining financial advantage by deception.

The 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th accused have all been charged with one count each of using forged documents and one count each of obtaining financial advantage by deception as they posed as prospective buyers of the land written under the 3rd accused.

The four allegedly submitted their original withdrawal Urban Housing Assistance Form with the intention of inducing Fiji National Provident Fund officials to accept it as genuine, and on its acceptance dishonestly obtained a gain amounting to $49,300 which all the accused persons allegedly shared.
