Fitness Is Key To Making Flying Fijians Squad For Rugby World Cup Says Filipo Nakosi

Fiji Airways Flying Fijians wing Filipe Nakosi feels they need to lift their fitness level in order to make the cut for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
“Basically we need to improve on our work rate, fitness level especially playing against bigger teams in RWC.
“It’s going to be tough but we are going to work on those areas to succeed,” Nakosi said.
“It’s been a good three weeks of preparation and we are looking forward to our final round of Pacific Nations Cup match against Samoa. Expectation is high especially playing against some of our teammates in Europe.”
The older brother of wing Josua Tuisova is excited to be alongside his brother during this RWC campaign and said it was an awesome experience so far for both of them.
Even though they play together in Toulon in France but it’s a different experience when they both battle for the national jumper.
“It’s been a good experience playing alongside my brother, it’s not a new thing for us especially playing together in Toulon in France but for us to represent our country is special to us and our families , back in Ba,” he added.
Samoa play Fiji at 7.15pm, Japan vs USA at 4.35pm and Canada face Tonga at Churchill Park, Lautoka at 3pm tomorrow.
