Former Queen Victoria School (QVS) scholar and now All Blacks winger, Sevu Reece, has placed a challenge to the current students taking part in the Vodafone Super Deans finals this weekend.

“Take all the silverware back to Nukuvuto,” he said.

The Victorians will feature in Under-15, U16, U17 and U18 grades Deans finals where they will take on their Tailevu neighbours, Ratu Kadavulevu School (RKS).

“I want to wish all the three grades U15, U16, U17 and U18 the best of luck in the Deans finals this Saturday,” Reece said.

“I just want to remind you that when the sun sets this Saturday, all the three trophies should be in Nukuvuto.”

The Victorians last won the Deans Trophy in 2016 after beating Marist Brothers High School (MBHS) 21-18 in the final.

RKS aims for a three-peat this Saturday after stilling the victory from Cuvu College 28-24 in the semifinal;

The Victorians beat Marist 22-14 in the first semifinal.

Cuvu College support

The Cuvu College U18 team have shown their support to the two Tailevu schools this Saturday.

The school from Nadroga put up a banner in their school yesterday which read “RKS vs QVS U18 final, All the best”.
