Deans Trophy: The Final Show

Vodafone Super Deans Under – 18 champions Ratu Kadavulevu School wants to keep a low profile ahead of the final showdown against Queen Victoria School tomorrow.
Team captain Viliame Naiteqe said they need to prove their worth as defending champions at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.
The Buretu, Naikelo, Tailevu native said his brothers who represented the side last year will be their source of inspiration.
“I would like to thank all the supporters of RKS who have been coming to watch all our games throughout the season,” Naiteqe said.
“We are not really the champion side but our brothers who represented the school last year are the true champions and we are grateful to them for setting the benchmark for us.
“Obviously we put God first in everything we do. We will do our best to deliver against our brothers from Vulinituraga.”
Meanwhile, QVS captain Semi Tauyavuca said preparations on track.
“Preparation this week is normal and we are looking forward to the final,” Tauyavuca said
“We haven’t beaten RKS during our zone encounters but Saturday is our chance to prove ourselves.
“This final will be memorable for most of the players as this will be their last time representing the school in Deans’ rugby competition.
“We are hopeful for a positive outcome.”
