Under 14 Final: Lions Too Strong For RKS
Suva Grammar School shattered Ratu Kadavulevu School’s hopes of returning to Delainakaikai with U14 title was denied.
SGS defeated RKS 17-8.
The boys from Veiuto had a solid start and dominated the set pieces which awarded them a 12-3 to lead at half-time.
They scored two tries through Paula Koroi and Sikeli Rabitu. Mel Lebron was successful with one conversion.
RKS only managed one penalty through the boots of Viliame Vasu.
The lions continued to roar in the second half as they proved dominance in the line-outs and scrummaging areas.
Lodoni only had to blame themselves with unforced errors which allowed SGS to extend their lead through a try from Malelili Waqaivolavola but was unsuccessful in the conversion.
RKS regrouped in the final minute and scored their lone try through Sosaia Cagi and failed with the conversion but was too late to defend the silver ware.
