Till Death Do Us Part .... Alasio Naduva and Vasiti Tuilau Naduva after exchanging marriage vows on Friday August 17, 2019.

Expect an improved performance from Fiji Airways Fijian 7s speedster Alasio Naduva when the 2019/20 World Sevens Series resumes in December.

This was after he married Vasiti Tuilau at the Christian Mission Fellowship’s World Harvest Centre in Kinoya, Nasinu yesterday.

Hundreds of families and friends were present to witness as the newly-weds, who met in Nadi last year, exchanged their vows.

Also in attendance were members of the Fiji Airways Fijian 7s squad led by head coach Gareth Baber, team manager Jone Niurua and captain Paula Dranisinukula.

Naduva excitedly said: “This is a proud moment for me officially having the love of my life by my side.

“This will boost my preparation for the new 2019/20 Sevens Series.

“Through my wife’s support I will be able to lift my performance on the field to another level in the World Seven Series and prepare well for the Tokyo Olympics,” Naduva said.

Tuilau, 25, hails from Tubalevu, Namara in Tailevu with maternal links to Navatuyaba, Toga, Rewa and she vowed to give her husband her full support in the new season.

“I want to thank God, my families and friends for this special day.

“I will support my husband all the way this season and during his rugby career,” she said.

Baber congratulated the new couple.

“This is a fantastic occasion, Naduva spends so much time traveling around the world and now has a fantastic woman by her side and I know he will be very happy.

“He is respected in the group and congratulations to the both of them,” Baber said.

Naduva, 29, of Naweni, Cakaudrove made his debut in the 2017-18 World Sevens Series and has quickly established himself as one of the fastest players, hitting a top speed of 36km per hour suggesting that he is one of the world’s fastest rugby players.

He also plays for Army and Suva in the fifteens rugby as well.
