Fiji Airways Flying Fijians winger Josua Tuisova is aware that he is going to be marked by teams at the Rugby World Cup in Japan next month.

Speaking to SUNsports yesterday, Tuisova, who is dubbed ‘The Bus’, said he needs to prepare himself well for the challenges ahead.

“I’ve got to be humble,” he said referring to what other teams were planning to do to contain him.

Tuisova, 25, helped the Flying Fijians beat Scotland 27-22 in 2017 in Suva and last November in Fiji’s 21-14 victory over France in Stade de France in Paris. His bulldozing runs saw him score the Flying Fijians first try.

The soft-spoken Toulon speedster said they had a tough week of training in Suva under head coach John McKee and senior assistant coach Tabai Matson.

Looking forward to play in his first RWC, Tuisova said playing alongside his older brother, Filipo Nakosi, has made things better as far as rugby is concerned.

“We’ve played together in 7s and then we went on to play for Toulon. Now, I’m looking forward to playing with him again and this time we are wearing the national jumper,” he said.

Tuisova reiterated their 2016 Olympic Games gold medal win in Rio de Janeiro Brazil was now history.

“It’s best to forget the Olympics but looking forward to the RWC where I’m hoping we can create a new chapter,” he said.

The Votua, Nailaga, Ba native said he has one mission at the World Cup – to help the Flying Fijians stop any Tier 1 nation that crosses their path.

“We’ll be playing Australia and Wales and to beat the big top teams is what we’ll try to do,” he said.
