Fijian-Born Samu Kerevi Named Australian Vice-Captain To Rugby World Cup

Our Rugby World Cup opponents Australia have moved closer to Fiji to prepare for the September 21 clash at the Sapporo Dome in Japan.
The Wallabies flew over to New Caledonia on Friday night, hours after the team announcement by head coach Michael Cheika, to start their final phase of preparations.
“It’s about getting stuck into work,” said prop Scott Sio.
“Lots of work to be done for the next two weeks before we play Samoa and then on to the Rugby World Cup.”
In another first for Fiji, Fijian-born Samu Kerevi has been named vice-captain for the Wallabies to the World Cup.
Kerevi’s father, Nimilote Kerevi, is a former Fijian football midfielder.
Kerevi also captained the Queensland Reds in Super Rugby and he is the man coach Cheika is banking on at the World Cup.
