Fate Of 2019 Hibiscus Festival To Be Announced Soon
A formal announcement will be made soon on whether the Hibiscus Festival will be held this year or not.
Hibiscus Festival executive committee chairman Vinay Kumar confirmed yesterday that they would be making an announcement in a week or two.
Mr Kumar said the committee was working out the details and did not disclose any further information.
The committee members are still mulling over venue options because they wanted to keep the annual Hibiscus Festival in Suva.
Albert Park, the traditional home of the Festival is no longer viable after its $16 million facelift.
There had also been initial talks with Suva Grammar School and the Fiji Sports Council but nothing has been confirmed so far.
The festival was held at the Valelevu Ground in Nasinu last year.
