Smith’s Sudden Death Ends Double Celebration

The man who succumbed to injuries after a road accident on August 19 was supposed to have celebrated his tenth-year wedding anniversary and his elder son’s seventh birthday.

Herbert Smith Boseiwaqa who lives at Vatoa Road in Narere, who had been admitted at the CWM Hospital since died on Sunday.

His wife, Kesaia Lewaicei, said he had just called them from work during the day and that was their last contact with him.

“When he did not come home the kids started asking me about him. We only found out about him the next morning,” Ms Lewaicei said

“Then Police told us about the accident.”

Mr Boseiwaqa was rushed to the CWM Hospital, where he was admitted.

The tragic news has left the young family stunned.

“It really hurts and I cannot stop thinking about Bert and how he used to love us and look after his relatives and the family as a whole,” she said.

“This is heartbreaking for me because we were going to have a double celebration to mark our tenth-year anniversary and our eldest son’s seventh birthday.

“To lose him a few days away is very painful.”

The family will make funeral plans after the post-mortem results.
