The body of 33-year-old Shiu Chand was found along Tacilevu Beach in Savusavu yesterday.
Police said Mr Chand of Vatuwiri Estate was reported missing after he failed to return home after a fishing trip last weekend.
A search party consisting of police officers, members of the community and divers from Paradise Divers were deployed and were searching areas along Vuna and Vatuwiri, and yesterday received word of the discovery from officers in Savusavu.
A post mortem examination will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
