Merchant Finance Limited and Vodafone M-PAiSA launched their payment platform yesterday.

Deputy Chairman of Merchant Fi­nance Limited Nouzab Fareed says this partnership with Vodafone will allow customers to pay their loan on time as well as to encourage branch­less banking.

“We are very thankful to Vodafone for facilitating this as three days ago we launched our new logo – it is ba­sically modern, wide and dynamic so this is to say that we are growing as we are going to areas where there are not so many banks.

“We are going to expand so that in the future, customers will come to the branch to take a loan and then after that they can use their phone and make their payments,” said Mr Fareed.

Vodafone’s head of e-commerce and corporate affairs Shailendra Prasad also shared similar sentiments on the benefits this partnership.

“This facility makes it easy for them to service their loans and right­ly there is no costs to the customer.

It’s a free of charge service and they can access wherever and whenever.

“With the access to M-Paisa, the customer will have the convenience to pay straight away,” Mr Prasad said.

Mr Fareed is encouraging M-Paisa customers to join this new payment platform to make loan payments easy and efficient.
