A 27-year-old security officer of Visako Vircle in Nadera is in custody after he was found with white substances believed to be methamphetamine.

The suspect was searched by an officer at a supermarket complex located along Khalsa Road after he was seen acting in a suspicious manner.

Meanwhile in Lautoka, two people were arrested following a raid at a house in Rifle Range.

In custody is a 42-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man after they were found with sachets and a plastic containing dried leaves all believed to be marijuana.

Seized were more than 160 plants believed to be marijuana.

In Savusavu, two arrests were made after the suspects were found with bullets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

A 35-year-old market vendor was also arrested in Savusavu Town by an officer on patrol. Seized was a white plastic containing bullets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

At the Oneva Bus Stop in Savusavu, a team of officers while attending to a report stopped a bus and arrested a 23-year-old farmer of Nasinu village as he was allegedly found in possession of a bag containing bullets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

All remain in custody as the seized substances and plants have been sent for analysis.
