Fiji Airways Flying Fijians head coach John McKee has been enduring tough nights deciding which prop he will omit from his Rugby World Cup squad.

The strong and consistent performances of all props in the current squad will make his job of who to leave out a difficult one.

The announcement today will also signal the Flying Fijians final phase of preparations for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan this month.

McKee arrived with the last lot of the Flying Fijian squad members last night after beating Tonga 29-19 at Eden Park, Auckland, New Zealand, on Saturday.

“We’ll make the announcement Monday on who, which prop will be omitted from the World Cup squad list,” he said.

McKee clarified having to make last-minute changes in the front row before the Tonga clash after Campese Ma’afu pulled out.

Rookie prop Eroni Mawi took over and veteran Manasa Saulo was moved to the bench.

Ma’afu had to return to Sydney for a personal commitment.

“It gave the opportunity for others to play against Tonga’s strong forward pack,” he added.

McKee said there were no casualties after the Tonga clash.

The team’s farewell dinner will be at the Softel Fiji Resort & Spa in Denarau tomorrow. They depart for Japan on September 6.
