Dr. Akanisi Kedrayate Tabualevu Appointed As One Of The Board Director

The Board of Trustees of the iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB) has announced the appointment of Dr Akanisi Kedrayate Tabualevu as its newest board member for a term of three years.

The Board of Trustees of the iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB) has announced the appointment of Dr Akanisi Kedrayate Tabualevu as its newest board member for a term of three years.
Dr Kedrayate is the Dean, of the Faculty of Arts, Law & Education of the University of the South Pacific (USP).
Prior to this, she was also the Head of School of Humanities for four years before the academic restructure at the USP. She holds a PhD degree from the University of New England in Armidale, Australia and a Masters with Honours from the University of Glasgow in Scotland.
She also attended Harvard University on a Leadership Programme under the International Leadership and Executive Training. She was also a Kellogg Fellow at the Australian National University.
Dr Kedrayate also supervises post-graduate students and examines thesis apart from her responsibility as Dean and Head of the Faculty of Arts, Law & Education.
Her professional and research interests are in Education, Curriculum, Development Issues, Community Development & Education, Non-formal and Adult Education, Leadership and Gender. She has published journal articles and a book titled: Voices-Pacific Women Teachers Tell Their Stories.
She also serves as a member of the International Federation of University Women Project Committee (IFUW), a member of the Virginia Gilder Sleeve International Fund Project (VGIF) and had served on the Executive Board of International Community Education Association.
Dr Kedrayate also serves on various committees at USP including Senior Management, and Senate. She is the Chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.
With her vast knowledge and wealth of experience, she is expected to positively contribute in her new role as a director for the TLTB Board of Trustees.
