The funeral for the late Seniloli Tabuatausole, who worked for the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) in Benghazi, Libya, will be held today.

Fiji United Nations Association spokesperson Alowesi Kaleca confirmed this.

He said they handed the body to the family at their residence in Suvavou yesterday.

Mr Kaleca said they prepared a programme for today’s funeral and this was accepted by the family, who are members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

“We have handed over the body to the family yesterday and tomorrow’s programme would be organised by them.”

The funeral service will be at the Suvavou Seventh-day Church and he will be laid to rest at the Suvavou Cemetery.

Mr Seniloli and two colleagues with the mission were killed in a car bombing in Benghazi last month.
