The Navua football team have played their way back to next season’s Vodafone Premier League competition.

This was confirmed yesterday by Fiji Football Association’s competition manager Amitesh Pal.

“Navua is leading the playoffs and with one round of competition left, regardless of the outcome they are definitely going through,” Pal said.

The Navua football side have maintained their unbeaten run in the Vodafone Senior League final play-offs. The Southerners are leading the points table after the first round of matches with 9 points. They beat Lami 1-0 in their opening match before walloping Savusavu 2-0 and Dreketi 3-0.

Navua coach Mohammed Shafil after the wins told Fiji FA Media, that they determined to keep an unbeaten record in this year’s competition.

“We are going in for wins and as I said before we are taking each game at a time.”

Shafil urged Navua fans to keep supporting the team.

“I thank the fans for their support and I urge them keep supporting us as we are on a step to take Navua back to the top level of football,” added Shafil.

For the past years Navua have produced top football players like Ratu Suliano Matanitobua, Romulo Kaibau, Seveci Rokotakala, Valerio Nawatu, Netani Doli, Jesoni Takala and the list goes on.
