Labasa Hospital Gets $50K Worth Of Equipment

Equipment worth $50,000 was donated to the Labasa Hospital by Sydney-based Racer Freight Services Wednesday.

The donation includes 15 office chairs, nine electric beds with wheels, 29 side tables and 58 mattresses.

Receiving the equipment was the Labasa Hospital Board of Visitor’s member Hazeem Hussein.

He said with the equipment Labasa Hospital would be able to provide better services to patients.

“The board only catered for the freight from Sydney to Labasa and it cost us $7000,” Mr Hussein said.

Racer Freight Sydney is owned by Mohammed Shameem.

The board of visitors also source assistance from fundraising drives and other donors.
